INDIANAPOLIS — A homeowner’s 90-pound dog helped take a bite out of crime when she scared off a burglar Tuesday, police said.
The suspect, who has not been identified, broke into a first-floor window only to come upon Roxy, Donnie Massing's 90-pound dog, WXIN reported.

The burglar ran upstairs and tried to escape through a second-story window.
"When he was trying to climb out of the window, he had one leg out of the window, and then I guess Roxy was trying to pull him back in the house," Massing told WXIN.
Neighbors called 911 and recorded the burglar as he broke free of Roxy and fell off two roofs.
“There’s a big dog,” a man can be heard saying in a video as the burglar falls.
Emergency responders treated the man for head and hand injuries. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested the man.
It is unclear if Roxy caused any of the injuries.
Either way, Massing is proud of his pooch.
"I tried to brag about her as much as I can," he told WXIN.
