Joe Biden for president? VP, smiling, doesn't rule out 2020 run

Could Joe Biden be at the top of the Democratic ticket in four years? Anything is possible.
After reporters asked the vice president Monday if he will ever run for office again, Biden gave a surprising answer.

WASHINGTON — "Yeah, I am," he said, according to CNN. "I'm going to run in 2020."

The Associated Press reported that Biden, 74, smiled slightly as he continued, "For president. So, uh, what the hell, man."

Later, a reporter asked Biden if he was serious. 
"I'm not committing not to run," Biden replied after a pause. "I'm not committing to anything. I learned a long time ago, fate has a strange way of intervening."
If Biden, who turns 78 in 2020, really does run – and wins the race – he would become the nation's oldest president.
