When police arrived at the scene, Chubs was on the ground with "obvious injuries," KOB reported. An officer took the dog to a local animal hospital, where it died, the television station reported.
It's not clear if the woman involved in the incident will face any charges, KOB reported. Smith was in court Thursday and was released on his own recognizance, according to KRQE.
