Police had been searching for the boy earlier in the day, but he eluded authorities on a bicycle, KSNB reported. That night, police received a report of a stolen 2007 Honda Civic and noticed the boy was driving it, according to the television station.
The boy eventually crashed the car into a home, damaging the front porch, KSNB reported.
The boy was not hurt, police said. When authorities tried to remove him from the car, he resisted and then spit on the officers and used racial slurs, according to police.
The boy was cited for flight to avoid arrest, which is a felony, KSNB reported.
