Royals visit 'Star Wars' set; rumors of cameos erupt

IVER HEATH, England — Fans of the epic film franchise "Star Wars" come in all shapes, sizes and society. Society being the key word there as princes William and Harry recently stopped by the set of "Star Wars: Episode VII."

They just happened to get a lot closer view of the sets than the normal "Star Wars" fan.

The royals got an up-close view of lovable droid BB-8, a chance to speak with the actors, including Mark Hamill, and even picked up light sabers for a little brother-against-brother duel, CNN reported.

But there could be more than just a set visit.

There are rumors flying that Prince William and Prince Harry could be following in the steps of another famous Brit: Daniel Craig.

Craig, after denying for months that he appeared in "Star Wars The Force Awakens," was outed as the Storm Trooper who allowed Rey to go free after she used a Jedi mind trick on him. He's listed in the credits as Storm Trooper JB-007, a nod to Craig's role as James Bond.

A source has apparently told The Daily Mail that William and Harry will also blend in with the Storm Troopers in a scene featuring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Benicio del Toro.

The Mail reported that the source said that everyone except for "the director, producer and essential crew was cleared from the set so the royal appearance could be filmed in secret."

Whether or not the rumors are true will be seen on the big screen in December, 2017.
