This restaurant will give you free burgers forever if you change your name

MELBOURNE, Australia — The chain, called Mr. Burger, asks only that you change your last name to Burger.

The upscale burger chain isn't joking. "It's 200 percent legit. Too legit," Mr Burger marketing manager Maleik Edwards told Mashable.

There are a few steps involved in the process to get a free burger a day for the rest of your life.

The Mr. Burger website asks those interested to a fill out a form to formally change their last name, as long as the person is 18 years old or older.

"We'll even cover the application fee, once you've done the deed," the site says.

Then, the applicant will need to send the restaurant an email with a copy confirming the name change from the Australian government.

"The media, the world, has been gripped with boring stuff such as Brexit and the election. We as a company think people take life too seriously, and this is just a way to have some fun," Edwards said. "It'll also be fun to get a sports team of Burgers out there."

Mr. Burger said there can be more than one winner.

If your last name is already "Burger," you won't be able to participate, but the restaurant said it would offer some vouchers.
