In an Oct. 10 Facebook post, Laura McIntyre wrote that her sister, Caty, had just worked 53 hours in four days. According to WFAA, McIntyre's sister is a nurse at Medical Center McKinney. She said Caty usually doesn't have time to eat lunch or even stay hydrated because she's busy taking care of patients.

She accompanied the post with a photo that she took back in July of her sister, who was overcome with emotion after a tough day at work. McIntyre explained that Caty had helped deliver a stillborn baby that day. While labor and delivery nurses witness joyous moments, they also deal with challenging situations, such as stillbirths, teenage mothers and drug-addicted mothers, McIntyre said.

McIntyre ended her post by writing, "Caty (and all other nurses) you are special. You bless your patients and their families more than you will ever know. Thank you for all that you do."

The post quickly went viral and has generated over 180,000 likes on Facebook.
