A Rochester, Minnesota, woman, who was hiking at the Rose Cliff Trail in Arizona on May 20, survived a 100-foot fall.

Amber Kohnhorst, 25, took the tumble from a rock ledge, KMSP reports. The owners of the Cane Beds Inn, where she was staying, noticed that she had not returned in almost 25 hours and contacted authorities, who found Kohnhorst blowing her emergency whistle. She was taken to a hospital in Utah for treatment, KMSP added.

"It was really nothing short of miraculous that this lady was found," Cane Beds, Hildale-Colorado City Fire Chief Kevin Barlow told the St. George News. "She was ledged out 200 feet down a cliff in a slot (canyon). We estimate she fell 50 feet, free fall, and another 50 feet of tumble and slide. She was real beat up."

Kohnhorst suffered a fractured back in three places, a broken nose and a crushed pelvis; she has a GoFundMe page set up to help with medical expenses. In three days, the page has raised $7,750 of the $30,000 being requested. According to the page, Kohnhorst was just put in a back brace, which allowed her to sit up for the first time since the fall.
