West Homestead police officers deliver Christmas presents to kids

WEST HOMESTEAD, Pa. — Officers with the West Homestead Police Department delivered Christmas presents Sunday morning to children in the community who are less fortunate.

The gifts were given to the department by retired Allegheny County police detective Jimmy Cvetic, who distributes toys donated through Toys for Tots to police departments in the county.

"It's awesome just to see the expression on the kids' faces. It's a good feeling," Munhall police detective Jamie Caterino said.

A little girl named Kevana received a bicycle and a helmet.

“It’s my favorite color -- pink,” she said upon stepping outside to check out her new set of wheels.

In all, about a dozen presents were delivered to several homes in West Homestead.
