Woman robs, kidnaps sisters outside Pittsburgh Public School

PITTSBURGH — Two students were robbed and forcefully made to walk down the street outside Pittsburgh Obama Academy of International Studies.

A woman approached two sisters after dismissal asking for money. The two said they did not have any money, but she took the money from their hands.

The woman then forcefully took the girls down the street and told people they were her nieces.

"It’s disturbing. It’s disturbing to say the least. Especially in an area that's being revitalized and brought back. You never want to hear anything like that about children," Richie Vanholt, a neighbor, said.

Both girls are home safe.

Police are searching for a black woman described as being 35-45 years old, with a husky build, about 6 feet tall and with long braided hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
