Woman shot in Clairton; police search for shooters

Clairton police are searching for two men in connection with a shooting on Sunday.

A woman, 46, was found near the bus stop at St. Clair and Third streets around 8 p.m. She was suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh.

Neighbors said they heard multiple shots. Police said the victim was shot once while standing near the bus stop, and the shooter fled the scene. She was taken to a hospital and was alert and responsive, officials said.

Allegheny County police are looking for Elijah Law, 21, and Desmond Snead, 21, in connection with the shooting.

They are wanted on charges of aggravated assault and carrying firearms without a license.

Investigators believe that both men are in the Clairton area. They are considered armed and dangerous.
