Woman stabs man in chest during argument in Homestead

HOMESTEAD, Pa. — A man was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital after a woman stabbed him in his chest Sunday morning in Homestead, Allegheny County police said.

The stabbing was reported just before 10 a.m. in the 200 block of East 10th Avenue.

Investigators said the 55-year-old victim, who was listed in critical condition at the hospital, was stabbed by 56-year-old Bertha Morris during an argument.

Morris is charged with aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.

The Allegheny County Police Department's homicide unit is investigating.
