PITTSBURGH — Shopping before the sun comes up to get some great deals is part of the holiday fun for some.

Thousands of people in the Pittsburgh area waited in lines to get into their favorite stores on Thursday and early Friday morning.

Shoppers told Channel 11 reporters that door busters, deals and tradition are reasons why they shop on Black Friday.

MALL HOURS:

Beaver Valley Mall:  12 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Century III Mall:  Midnight – 9 p.m.

Clearview Mall: 12 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Grove City Outlets:  9 p.m. (Thanksgiving) – 10 p.m.

Monroeville Mall:  4 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Ross Park Mall 12 a.m. – 9 p.m.

South Hills Village Mall 12 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Tanger Outlets 10 p.m. (Thanksgiving) – 9 p.m.

The Galleria of Mt. Lebanon 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills 12 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The Mall at Robinson 12 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The Waterfront 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Uniontown Mall 12 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Westmoreland Mall 12 a.m. – 10 p.m.

MAJOR STORES:

Toys R Us, Walmart and Sears opened at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Target opened at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Best Buy, Kohl's and Macy's opened at midnight on Black Friday.
