Bolts' Chambers Doubtful For Sunday

Friday, October 10, 2008

(Sports Network) - San Diego Chargers wide receiver Chris Chambers is listed as doubtful for Sunday's pivotal home matchup with the New England Patriots with a sprained ankle.

Chambers was injured in last Sunday's 17-10 setback to the Miami Dolphins and did not participate in practice this week. The veteran wideout is tied for the league lead with five touchdown receptions this season.

Head coach Norv Turner stopped short of naming a replacement for Chambers, should he not play, but told the team's website that receivers Malcolm Floyd, Buster Davis and Legedu Naanee would see increased roles.

Linebacker Jyles Tucker is also listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury.

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie (hip), running back LaDainian Tomlinson (toe) and wide receiver Vincent Jackson (knee) are listed as probable and each participated fully in practice Friday.
