New York, NY -- (Sports Network) - New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, St. Louis Rams safety Oshiomogho Atogwe and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Sean Morey were named the NFC's top players for Week 6 of the NFL season.Brees was dubbed the top offensive player after completing 26-of-30 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns as the Saints routed Oakland, 34-3. Brees hit on each of his first 16 pass attempts and hit the 300-yard mark for the fourth straight week, garnering a 144.4 passer rating in the process. It was the seventh weekly award for the eighth-year veteran, who also earned NFC Player of the Month honors for September. Atogwe earned defensive honors after registering four tackles and a forced fumble that he returned 75 yards for a touchdown in the Rams' 19-17 triumph over the Redskins. The return proved to be the longest play from scrimmage for the team in 2008. In his fourth season from Stanford, this is Atogwe's first career weekly award. He is the fourth St. Louis safety to win the award and the first since Aeneas Williams late in the 2003 season. Meanwhile, Morey earned the special teams award by tying a career-high with four special teams tackles and a blocked punt which led to Arizona's winning score in the Cardinals' 30-24 overtime win over Dallas. It marked the first blocked punt returned for a touchdown for the franchise since 1997, when J.J. McClesky blocked a punt and Tommy Bennett recovered it for a score. This was Morey's first career player of the week honor and the first for Arizona since Steve Breaston in Week 4 of 2007. He is also the first player from Brown University to win any player of the week award.
