Report: Colts RB Addai Out Two-To-Four Weeks

Wednesday, October 15, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Indianapolis Colts will reportedly be without running back Joseph Addai for two-to-four weeks while he rests a slightly torn hamstring.

The NFL Network reported Wednesday that Addai, who was hurt in the first quarter of Sunday's 31-3 rout of the Baltimore Ravens, will miss two-to-four weeks with the injury. Colts head coach Tony Dungy did not go into detail in his Wednesday press conference, just saying that he didn't expect Addai to play this Sunday in Green Bay.

Indianapolis also lost rookie running back Mike Hart on Sunday to a knee injury that ended his season, and the Colts added Clifton Dawson and Chad Simpson to their backfield on Wednesday.

The injuries forced Dominic Rhodes to carry the workload on Sunday. He ran for 73 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. Rhodes, a Super Bowl hero from two years ago, rejoined the Colts this spring after spending the 2007 campaign with the Oakland Raiders.

In five games this season, Addai has run for 216 yards and four touchdowns. Rhodes, who split time in the backfield with Addai in 2006, has 104 yards and a score on 32 carries this year.
