Ravens Sign DB Oglesby

Thursday, September 4, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Baltimore Ravens have signed cornerback Evan Oglesby and waived cornerback Anwar Phillips.

Oglesby became available on Wednesday after being released by the Dallas Cowboys. This will be his second stint with Baltimore, having played for the Ravens in 2005 and 2006.

After appearing in three games during the 2005 season, Oglesby was a special teams standout in 2006 when he finished third on the squad with 17 tackles. He appeared in eight games for the Cowboys last season.

Phillips is a first-year player from Penn State.
