Broncos Release RB Bell, K Hartley

Monday, July 21, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Denver Broncos released running back Mike Bell and kicker Garrett Hartley on Monday.

Bell saw action in 15 games during his rookie year of 2006. He rushed for 677 yards on 157 attempts and scored eight touchdowns. Bell also caught 20 passes for 158 yards that year.

However, last season the Arizona product played in just five games, and ran for three yards on six attempts.

Hartley, a rookie, signed as a free agent out of the University of Oklahoma in April.
