St. Louis, MO -- (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Rams agreed to a one-year contract with veteran wide receiver Reche Caldwell on Tuesday.

Caldwell, 28, was a second round pick of the San Diego Chargers in 2002, and played four seasons with the squad before playing his best season with New England in 2006. That year, he recorded career-highs of 61 catches, 760 yards and four touchdowns.

In 2007, Caldwell played eight games for the Washington Redskins, notching 15 catches for 141 yards.

He will likely be the third receiver behind Torry Holt and Drew Bennett in the Rams' depth chart.
