Steelers Bring Back OL Brooks

Posted: 2:06 pm EST March 28, 2005

The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed veteran offensive tackle Barrett Brooks to a one-year contract Monday. Per club policy, financial terms were not disclosed.

Brooks participated in five games with the Steelers last season as a reserve. The 32-year-old has spent 11 years in the NFL but has not been a regular starter since the 1999 campaign with Detroit.

A second round choice by Philadelphia in the 1995 draft, Brooks spent his first four seasons with the Eagles before moving on to Detroit in 1999. He signed with Pittsburgh in 2003 after being released by the New York Giants.
