Steelers re-sign Rasby, Morey

The Pittsburgh Steelers Wednesday re-signed tight end Walter Rasby and wide receiver Sean Morey to one-year deals. As per team policy, financial terms were not disclosed.

The Steelers acquired Rasby in December when tight end Jay Riemersma landed on injured reserve. Rasby appeared in the last six games of the 2004 season, including the playoffs.

Rasby, who also played with the Redskins in 2004, originally signed with the Steelers as a rookie free agent in 1994. He has caught 63 passes for 577 yards and five touchdowns during his 10-year career with Pittsburgh, Carolina, Detroit, Washington and New Orleans.

Meanwhile, Morey was acquired off waivers after Philadelphia released him before the 2004 campaign. He then led the Steelers with 24 special teams tackles (11 solo).
