Niners Re-Sign Strickland

(Sports Network) - The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed cornerback Donald Strickland.

Terms of the deal for the unrestricted free agent were not disclosed.

Strickland appeared in 13 games for the 49ers last season, starting four, and finished with 33 tackles. He originally joined the Niners in 2006 after spending time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts.

The six-year veteran out of Colorado is a native of the Bay Area and was a third-round pick by the Colts in 2003.
