Tampa, FL -- (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Lightning signed defenseman Kurtis Foster on Wednesday.

The backliner was limited to 10 games last season with Minnesota after suffering a broken leg, but registered a goal and five assists.

In 186 games over parts of six seasons with Atlanta and Minnesota, Foster posted 21 goals and 77 points with 155 penalty minutes.
