Denver, CO -- (Sports Network) - The Colorado Avalanche re-signed forward Cody McLeod to a one-year contract on Monday.McLeod registered nine points in 49 games in his NHL debut for the Avalanche after being recalled from their AHL affiliate at Lake Erie. He became the first Avs rookie to surpass the 100-minute mark in penalties, racking up 120. The club also agreed to terms with forwards Philippe Dupuis and Nathan Smith; defensemen Darcy Campbell and Aaron MacKenzie; goaltenders Jason Bacashihua and Tyler Weiman. Smith appeared in 13 games with the Penguins last season, without a point. He played four games over three seasons with the Canucks from 2003-07, without recording a point. Weiman appeared in one game with Colorado last season. Bacashihua spent 2007-08 in the AHL with Peoria and Lake Erie, but has appeared in 38 NHL games with St. Louis (2005-07), going 7-17-4 with a 3.19 goals-against average.
