Phoenix Coyotes (38-37-6) At Anaheim Ducks (46-27-8), 8 P.m.

(Sports Network) - The playoff-bound Anaheim Ducks will close out their regular season tonight, as they welcome the Phoenix Coyotes to the Honda Center.

The Ducks are locked into the fourth seed in the Western Conference and will have home-ice advantage in their opening-round series against the Dallas Stars.

The Coyotes, who are also rounding out their schedule tonight, are out of the playoffs for the fifth straight season. However, Phoenix's 82 points are the most for the club since last making the postseason with 95 points in 2001-02.

Phoenix is coming off a split in a home-and-home series with Dallas, as the Stars posted a 4-2 win in the desert on Thursday and the Coyotes won by the same count the following night in Texas.

Daniel Carcillo tallied his first career hat trick as the Coyotes held off the Stars, 4-2, at the American Airlines Center.

Martin Hanzal scored a goal while Mikael Tellqvist stopped 30 shots for the Coyotes, who stopped a three-game slide.

Phoenix has a respectable 21-17-2 record as the visitors this season, but the Coyotes have dropped four of five and seven of their last 11 road tests.

The Ducks are coming off Saturday's win in Los Angeles, as Teemu Selanne scored two goals, including the game-winner early in the third period, to lift Anaheim to the 4-3 decision at the Staples Center.

Joe DiPenta and Ryan Getzlaf also tallied for Anaheim, which has won four of its last five games and reached the 100-point plateau for the second straight season.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 28 saves in the victory.

Anaheim has a superb 27-9-4 record as the hosts this year and has been victorious in 11 of 12 and 18 of its last 21 home tests.

Phoenix is 5-2 against the Ducks this year, giving the Coyotes their first season series win over Anaheim since the 1999-2000 campaign. The Coyotes have also won three straight at the Honda Center, but the Ducks have still taken 13 of the last 20 meetings overall.
