Coyotes Sign Lessard

(Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes signed right wing Francis Lessard to a contract on Thursday. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Lessard, 29, appeared in 91 NHL games with the Atlanta Thrashers from 2001 to 2006, recording one goal and three assists along with 268 penalty minutes.

Last season with the New York Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate, the Hartford WolfPack, he recorded four goals and one assist along with 49 penalty minutes in 14 games.
