Pittsburgh, PA -- (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Penguins forward Maxime Talbot had successful shoulder surgery on Tuesday and a timetable for recovery is expected to be four to five months, the club announced. The 25-year-old Talbot tallied both goals in the Penguins' 2-1 win in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals over Detroit last month. "Max has played with this problem for quite awhile and we all agreed it was best for him to have the surgery at this time," Penguins general manager Ray Shero said. "Although he will miss training camp and the start of the season, the doctors expect him to make a complete recovery." For his career, Talbot has posted 42 goals and 38 assists in 261 games, all with Pittsburgh. He has also appeared in 46 playoff contests, registering 11 goals and 23 points.
