Bill Cowher: Steelers Not No. 1 This Season

Former Coach Turns NFL Analyst

A playoff prediction was made Tuesday for the black and gold. Former head coach Bill Cowher thinks the Steelers will be out of the postseason.

Cowher said his former team will finish third in the AFC North division behind Baltimore and Cincinnati.

"It's his opinion and he's entitled to it. I have a different view on it. We'll have to play it out and see," said defensive lineman Aaron Smith.

Cowher retired from the Steelers after the 2006-07 season. Now he is an NFL analyst for CBS.

“Last I checked he wasn’t God or a psychic,” said safety Ryan Clark.

New head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers will take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, in the team’s first regular season game.
