The Penguins faced off with the Philadephia Flyers Sunday with the intention of winning the NHL Eastern Conference Championship.

The Pens went on the power play early, and Ryan Malone cashed in just two and a half minutes into the game to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead.

With a little more than 10 minutes left in the first period, Evgeni Malkin jammed a shot past Martin Biron to put the Penguins up 2-0.

In the second period, Sidney Crosby fed Marian Hossa with a perfect pass, and Hossa drilled the puck behind Biron to give the Pens a 3-0 lead with 11:25 left in that period.

The Penguins took advantage of another power play shortly after that goal. Sidney Crosby tipped in a Ryan Malone shot to give the Penguins a 4-0 lead.

The Pens started to pile it on after that. Jordan Staal scored to make the score 5-0 just before the end of the second period.

Pascal Dupuis scored at the beginning of the third period, putting the team up 6-0, and that held to send the Penguins to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Sidney Crosby accepted the Prince of Wales Trophy for the Eastern Conference Champions during the presentation after the game.
