Detroit is the only major U.S. city that looks south to Canada. Game 1 is tonight. I think it's very important for the Pens to win one of the first two in Detroit. I expect a great series. Stay tuned!

We're deep into Ohio on our Road to the Cup!

Bill Phillips is correct---there are many, many Ohio State Troopers on the road!

It's a perfect day to be on the highway. Sunny and clear!

With this blog entry, you'll find a picture of Tim Holoman at the wheel! This is Tim's first trip to Motown since Moby Dick was a minnow!

Tim tells me that Detroit is where he took and passed his FCC test while in college.

The Channel 11 crew is on the road!

For the purposes of this blog, we'll call the crew "The Stanley Cup Seven!"

I'll be joined this weekend by award-winning reporters Bill Phillips and Gordon Loesch, and award-winning photojournalists Tim Holoman, "King" Richard Kenyon and Cary Schaffer.

Tim, in particular, has won just about every award except a "Tony," and if he could sing, he'd have one of those, too!

We'll also be joined by our satellite-on-wheels, Skylink, and our Satellite technician Dirk Verberschott.
