Penguins Re-Sign Connor James

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed forward Connor James, general manager Ray Shero announced Wednesday.

James, 25, played 13 games for the Penguins last season and scored one goal.

The 5-10, 170-pound center played 64 games for the Penguins' AHL affiliate, Wilkes Barre/Scranton, and recorded nine goals and 28 assists. James also recorded eight goals and five assists in 23 Calder Cup Playoff games last year.

James was drafted 279th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the ninth round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He signed with Pittsburgh in 2006 and has appeared in 134 games with Wilkes Barre/Scranton, scoring 21 goals and assisting on 48 others.
