Owner Of Tricked-Out Red Wings Limo Got Ticket Driving Into Pa.

A Detroit Red Wings fan had his 1987 stretch Lincoln Town Car tricked out last year when the Pens and Red Wings met in the Stanley Cup final.

Pat Mifsud painted and decorated the car with Detroit Red Wings colors and memorabilia. There’s even a fog machine installed inside that blows fog out of the bowl of a Stanley Cup replica, mounted on the car's roof.

While his car is cheered around the Detroit area, Mifsud receives an altogether different reception in the Pittsburgh area.

“As soon as we got across the border in Pennsylvania, we got a ticket,” said Mifsud. “They said ‘no mud flap’. We never heard that before.”

When he drove it to Pittsburgh last year, he said Pens fans were “yelling and screaming at us,… throwing bottles at us.”

Mifsud said Pens fans are even more aggressive this year than they were last year.

“They’re really upset,” he said.
