Stars Acquire Auld, Sign Fistric

(Sports Network) - The Dallas Stars acquired goaltender Alex Auld from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for the sixth-round draft pick in 2010 which the Stars previously acquired from San Jose.

In addition, the club signed defenseman Mark Fistric to a three-year contract worth $3 million.

Auld was 16-18-1 with a 2.48 goals-against average and one shutout for Ottawa last season. The journeyman netminder has played in 183 contests with five clubs since 2001, going 74-75-23 with two ties, a 2.76 GAA and six shutouts.

Fistric posted four assists in 36 games for Dallas a season ago. In 73 NHL games over two seasons with the Stars, the 23-year-old has collected six helpers and 66 penalty minutes.
