Rod Woodson: I'd Go Into HOF As A Pittsburgh Steeler

Posted: 5:53 pm EDT July 9, 2009Updated: 7:46 am EDT July 10, 2009

Former Steelers defensive back and current Hall of Fame inductee Rod Woodson told a Bay Area radio station there’s no question about the team he would go into the Hall of Fame representing.

“If you’re a Steeler … I’d pick the Pittsburgh Steelers,” Woodson said.

Unlike the MLB Hall of Fame, the NFL Hall of Fame doesn’t induct players by team, though.

Woodson played defensive back for the Steelers for a decade. He also played for the 49ers, Raiders and the Ravens.

He will be inducted in Canton, Ohio, in August on Hall of Fame weekend.
