PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh's attempt to sweep their first home series of the season fell short. The Expos beat the Pirates 5-2 Thursday, ending their season-high six-game losing streak.
The Bucs stranded eight runners in the first six innings and 11 overall to halt a four-game winning streak that tied for their longest this season.
This was the third game the two teams played in 23 hours.
The Pirates swept a doubleheader Wednesday night, winning 7-3 in the first game and 4-3 in the second.
