Mayor makes good on bet, Tebows in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH,None — Making good on a bet with Denver’s mayor, Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl donned a Broncos jersey and “Tebowed” on Tuesday.

Ravenstahl struck the famous pose by Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow in front of the Roberto Clemente statue on Pittsburgh’s North Shore.

Ravenstahl said it isn't something he hoped to do, but he went on to congratulate Denver on their win against the Steelers on Sunday.

After Ben Roethlisberger rallied the Pittsburgh Steelers from a two-touchdown deficit, the Broncos won the overtime coin toss, and on first down, Tebow tucked the ball in Willis McGahee's belly like he'd done all afternoon.

The linebackers and safety Troy Polamalu all bit on the play-action fake, and Tebow hit wide receiver Demaryius Thomas for an electrifying 80-yard touchdown that stunned the Steelers 29-23 in the AFC wild-card game.

Tebow chased down Thomas and knelt on one knee where he Tebowed in the end zone following the victory.

The Broncos (9-8) will face the top-seeded New England Patriots (13-3) on Saturday night.
