Pirates trade for all-star outfielder

BRADENTON, Fla. — The Pirates have traded for a new outfielder, the team announced Thursday.

The team acquired Corey Dickerson from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for pitcher Daniel Hudson, minor league infielder Tristan Gray and cash considerations.

Dickerson was a 2017 American League All-Star. He hit .282 that season with 33 doubles, four triples and a career-high 27 home runs.

Dickerson has a career average of .280 with 127 doubles, 20 triples and 90 home runs. He's been in the major leagues since the 2013 season.
