Chris Boswell suffers abdomen injury; Steelers sign kicker Randy Bullock

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Saturday morning that the team has signed kicker Randy Bullock to its active roster.

Bullock’s addition came after it was announced earlier in the morning that kicker Chris Boswell suffered an abdomen injury and was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, for which Bullock most recently kicked in Week 1.

The Steelers released cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz to make room on the team’s roster for Bullock.

Bullock was originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft and spent three years on the team’s roster. He then spent a portion of the 2015 season with the New York Jets.
