James Harrison suggests Le'Veon Bell should sign with Steelers, fake injury

Former Steelers James Harrison has injected himself into the Le’Veon Bell saga, suggesting that the running back sign with the Steelers then fake an injury to avoid actually playing.

Talking on the show 'Undisputed with Skip Payless, Shannon Sharpe and Jenny Taft on FS1, Harrison said that is the best-case scenario for Bell, who has not signed his franchise tag.

Harrison is suggesting the Bell sign the deal, show up to work but fake some sort of injury so he doesn’t have to play and risk further wear and tear on his body – or an actual injury.

"I think the play for Le'Veon, if I'm Le'Veon, is I'm coming back — what is it, November 13? — and I'm gonna go in there, I'm gonna get my credit for the season I need to get, and I'm gonna do the best I can to get out of that season healthy. And, for me, I'd give you everything in practice, you would see — the cameras would see — that I am fine, I am healthy. But come Saturday, 'Something ain't right, I can't play on Sunday.' Because if I go out here and I mess something up I'm losing a lot of money," Harrison said on FS1.

This week, the Steelers play against the Ravens on Sunday Night Football on Channel 11. There are still no signs that Bell plans to be there.
