The Pittsburgh Steelers lost its opening playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday afternoon, but fans can cling on one piece of good news that followed the defeat.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told reporters after the game that he is looking forward to next season.
“I don’t know about contracts and who’s coming back, but I know the guys up front are,” Roethlisberger said after the 45-42 loss. “And that makes it good for me. So, I look forward to next year with those guys.”

That statement seems to indicate Roethlisberger will return for his 15th season. He allegedly contemplated retirement following last season, and there has been speculation that he would retire after this season.
Roethlisberger threw for 469 yards, five touchdowns and one interception in the Divisional Round loss.
