Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Sammie Coates underwent a knee scope last week and will miss the start of training camp.
Coates reportedly suffered an injury while training this offseason, but could return in sometime in August.
The former third-round pick posted 421 receiving yards in the first five games of last season, but was hampered with injuries throughout the rest of the campaign.

Coates’ status with the team was up in the air to begin with after Martavis Bryant returned to the Steelers and the team drafted JuJu Smith-Schuster in the second round of this year's NFL draft.
Training camp begins Thursday at St. Vincent College in Latrobe.
