PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for October on Thursday, one day after he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Conner carried the football 64 times for 367 yards, a 5.7 yard per carry average and six touchdowns in October. He also had 13 receptions for 159 yards.
Conner also marked October by becoming the first player in Steelers history to rush for at least 100 yards and two touchdowns in three straight games.
Conner is tied for first in the NFL with 100-yard games, as well as with four multiple rushing touchdown games.
