PITTSBURGH — James Harrison will remain a Pittsburgh Steeler for another two years, the team announced Wednesday.
The new contract keeps Harrison with the franchise through the 2018 season.
The Steelers did not disclose the financial terms of the contract, but ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the 2-year deal is worth $3.5 million dollars.
Harrison recorded 53 tackles and two forced fumbles during the 2016 season. He is the Steelers' all-time sack leader during the regular season with 79.5.
This move comes just one day after the Steelers signed a contract extension with wide receiver Antonio Brown and placed the franchise tag on running back Le'Veon Bell.
