The brother of a Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman was named in a gun threat on social media Friday.
Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey, brother of Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey, was tagged in an Instagram story by his former teammate, Jonathan Martin.
In the post, a shotgun was laid out flat with several shell casings surrounding it. Martin included the caption, “When you’re a bully victim and a coward, your options are suicide or revenge.”

According to NBC News, the ex-NFL lineman Martin had accused the Dolphins of bullying when he played with the team in 2013.

Also included in the Instagram post was another former teammate, Richie Incognito, who Martin also accused of bullying him on the Dolphins. Martin included the hashtags #MiamiDolphins and #HarvardWestlake.
According to Channel 11 News exchange partner The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the NFL suspended Incognito for the final eight games of the 2013 season after conducting an investigation into his and Mike Pouncey's behavior.
Martin’s former high school, Harvard-Westlake, a private school in the Los Angeles area, closed for the day Friday after it became aware of the post, according to NBC News.
NBC News reported that Martin was taken into custody, and is now receiving treatment at a Los Angeles hospital.
Channel 11 reached out to the Pouncey family, but the family declined to comment.
