Many speculated this summer as to whether Fleury, 31, would again don the black and gold after watching rookie goaltender Murray led the Penguins to the franchise’s fourth Stanley Cup title.
Following his first informal practice at the UPMC Lemieux Complex on Thursday, Fleury said he hoped to stay with the team for the long haul.
“(Pittsburgh) is my home. I wish I could play here my whole career,” he told
. “I try my best to do good for the team and the organization, and hopefully stay here for a long time.”
