Sidney Crosby says participation Tuesday night against Panthers will be ‘game-time decision'

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby said it will be a “game-time decision” whether he plays Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers.

Crosby suffered a concussion earlier in October during a practice and has not played in any subsequent games. He has, however, been on the ice to practice with the team.

“He had a strong practice this morning. Everything is pointing in the right direction. If he's comfortable, he could play,” head coach Mike Sullivan said Tuesday morning.

Crosby previously dispelled rumors that he was injured during the World Cup of Hockey, telling reporters that he “got tangled up in practice” and “didn't really think anything of it” at first.

The two-time Stanley Cup champion and reigning Conn Smythe Trophy winner missed significant time earlier in his career with concussion problems.
