2018 WINTER OLYMPICS: Krueger, Goepper take silver medals, Ligety stumbles in giant slalom

PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — 12:30 A.M: Men's slopestyle skiing (gold-medal round). Sochi silver medalist Gus Kenworthy failed to put together a clean run in the finals, but fellow American Nick Goepper -- who won bronze in 2014 -- threw down a massive final run to grab the silver medal in the event.

11:45 P.M.: Men's giant slalom (gold-medal round). Ted Ligety fell behind by nearly 2.5 seconds after the first run of the giant slalom final, and he could not make up the time in his second run. Ligety failed to repeat as gold medalist, finishing outside the top-10.

10:30 P.M.: Men's short-track speedskating (1000M finals). Pittsburgh native John-Henry Krueger looked calm and comfortable as he earned the silver medal in his first appearance in the Winter Olympics. It was the first individual speedskating medal earned by Team USA since 2010.

8:45 P.M.: Men's giant slalom skiing finals.

8 P.M.: Men's slopestyle skiing qualifying.

Saturday’s competitions in PyeongChang will be highlighted by Team USA’s Ted Ligety competing for his third Olympic gold medal in the men's giant slalom. And the Americans look to repeat a podium sweep in men's slopestyle skiing.
