Steelers sign wide receiver Justin Hunter as first free agent

Justin Hunter

The Steelers signed their first free agent Wednesday. Wide receiver Justin Hunter was signed for a one-year deal.

Hunter spent the past season with the Buffalo Bills, where he compiled 10 receptions for 189 yards and four touchdowns. He was drafted 34th overall by the Tennessee Titans in 2013.

Hunter enters his fifth NFL season, and he will provide depth for the Steelers at the wide receiver position while the team waits for the NFL to reinstate Martavis Bryant.

The Steelers were reportedly interested in Hunter because of his speed and athleticism, giving Ben Roethlisberger a deep threat.
