Brittny McGraw

Brittny McGraw joined the Channel 11 News team in June 2011 as a morning reporter and weekend morning anchor after spending nearly four years at WPXI's sister station in Dayton, Ohio.

Brittny is a Charlotte, N.C., native who bleeds Carolina blue as a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Brittny's television career began in the NBC family, where in Charlotte she worked as a writer and archivist at NBC News Channel. The start of her on-air career took her to WCTI-TV in New Bern, N.C., where she worked her way up the ranks from one-man-band reporter to weekend anchor. Working in Eastern North Carolina brought its share of hurricanes, but Brittny didn't mind because it also meant plenty of lovely days at the beach!

Brittny traded in sandals and bare feet at the beach for snow boots when she moved to WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio. Brittny wore a number of hats at Channel 7, serving as a reporter and weekend anchor, but also doing sports many weekends as well. During her time in Ohio's Miami Valley, Brittny earned an Ohio Valley Regional Emmy for a special report on an area hospital's medical helicopter team and also had her work honored by the Ohio Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists. After nearly four years in Ohio, Brittny is excited to move east to Pittsburgh.

Brittny loves being an active member of her community and in Dayton served as a homework tutor at an area community center. She also served on the board of The Mustard Seed Foundation, a Dayton organization that empowers and educates teen mothers, and was a member of the Greater Dayton Association of Black Journalists. Brittny is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and looks forward to being an active member of the Pittsburgh community.

Away from the news, Brittny is a big dog-lover and can't wait to explore the area's parks with her two lab-mixes, Madison and Toby. She enjoys the arts, so you're sure to see her checking out the latest performances in the Cultural District. Brittny is also a huge sports fan and is always cheering for her Carolina Tar Heels, Carolina Panthers and the New York Yankees.
