Channel 11 Washington County Reporter

Reporter Dave Bondy joined the Channel 11 News team in February 2010.

Dave was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He's always loved baseball and has been a Tigers fan from the beginning.  In high school, he was a bat boy for his favorite team.  Dave's new favorite National Leauge team will be the Pirates.

In addition to loving baseball, Dave has always loved reporting. He used to go around his neighborhood as a child and interview the neighbors about what was happening in the neighborhood. That love for reporting stayed with him through college and in 1998 he graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in telecommunications.

Dave has worked in Wilmington, North Carolina with Channel 11 Anchor Jennifer Abney. There he covered three hurricanes, won several awards, and adopted his Jack Russell Terrier, Jackson. Having eleven years of experience in reporting, Dave has also had stops in Evansville, Indiana; Toledo, Ohio; and was an anchor/reporter in Saginaw, MI.   That's where he met his wife. 

Most recently, Dave worked for Fox affiliate WBRC in Birmingham, Alabama.

Currently, Dave and his wife Katie spend their time exploring Pittsburgh and playing with their dogs Jackson and Maddy.
